An Innovative New Design From Edelrid. The Permalock Series Is A Combination Of A Screw-On Carabiner And A Ball-Lock System As Known From Petzl. The Karabiner Uses A Standard Thread That Is Secured In The Closed Position By An Extra Ball. To Open The Carabiner You Must First Press The Ball And Then Unscrew The Closure. This Makes This Carabiner Well Suited As A Main Fixation To A Glacier Rope, Or As A Top-Rope Anchor Point.
